You cannot restore the backup on an iPhone. You can only view text file on your iPhone if you transfer WhatsApp messages via email chat. Move to iOS app does not support WhatsApp transfer. So, the best way to transfer WhatsApp messages from Android to iPhone is using one of the best WhatsApp transfer tools called iCareFone for WhatsApp. On a Mac with macOS Catalina or later, open Finder. On a Mac with macOS Mojave or earlier, or on a PC, open iTunes. Find out which macOS your Mac is using. Connect your device to your computer. If a message asks for your device's passcode or to Trust This Computer, follow the onscreen steps. Get help if you've forgotten your passcode.
I am trying to back up my phone on to my computer. I used to be able to do this with no problem until i updated to MacOS Catalina. All of my devices are updated. My Macbook can read my iPhone, but when I go into Finder and click on my phone I get a message saying 'If you are experiencing problems with your iPhone, you can restore its original settings by clicking Restore iPhone.'
Before I updated to MacOS Catalina I deleted all of my old backups by accident, so I have no idea what it is trying to restore to. I don't use iCloud either for backups.
I used other apps to get all of the important things off of my phone to see what happens when I do click 'Restore iPhone' but nothing happened. Even though my Mac is seeing my iPhone it won't connect to it. Please help me!! The picture below is what message I am getting in the Finder.
